You can edit the hosts file on a computer to redirect users to a specific website.  It works just like DNS, but is a local file.  Also good for playing jokes on people....  redirect facebook.com to the home shopping channel or something.

It is simply a name to IP address file.  Anything with a # before it is not read by the computer
