If you are looking for additional ad blocker software to test out, Bluhell Firewall is a great alternative. One of the nice things about Bluhell firewall is that it is extremely lightweight. It manages a cleaner feel by reducing unnecessary features and options that a causal user simply wont use. Another thing to point out is that this software only blocks ads on Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird email client, but if you only browse the web and check email this is a great option.

A group referred to as Pacha Group hackers, which are based out of china, are gaining access to Linux servers by targeting applications that run on Linux. By gaining access to these servers they can plant Crpto-mining malware that mines bitcoin in the background without users knowing. These criminals use brute force attacks to target services like Wordpress or PhypMyAdmin. After they compromise these services they are able to gain access to the actual server, at which point malware can be hidden in the system and eventually deployed without the user of that machines knowledge. The best thing you can do to protect yourself is keep your applications up to date and to make sure applications that require passwords are not easy to guess.

If you are looking to sharpen your Bash abilities with Linux command line games, this article is for you. Wargames is a collection of terminal based games, that you can connect to and play via SSH. All of the games are played through the terminal. Each game will have its own SSH port, so you will need to make sure you have an internet connection and have SSH installed. From there you can connect to each game manually by port number and begin testing your command line skills!

TLP(Thinkpad Laptop Power) is a command line tool that will increase battery life on your portable devices that are running Linux. It increases power efficiency by implementing many different power saving modes for different computer components. For example, it will decrease performance on your CPU and your hard disk drive to increase battery life. It also has a feature that will put your radeon graphics card into a power saving state. Overall, TLP is a great free open source option that will squeeze more juice out of your portable Linux machines.

One common issue with dual booting Linux and Windows 10 is that they will often show different clock times. Linux by default is set to use RTC (real time clock). To change this you can use a simple command in terminal called "timedatectl" and you can change Linux to use UTC time instead RTC. It seems to be less complicated to focus on changing the Linux time mode rather than trying to change windows 10's time mode.
