Once you have Exchange installed....
Once you have Exchange installed, you can test sending e-mail from internal accounts.
To create new users inside Exchange read this:
Once you have some users, login to OWA and send some e-mail back and forth. The administrator is also a user.

NOTE ---- DO NOT USE CHROME TO DO THIS - when you go to add the connectors Chrome doesn't seem to work with the GUI based EAC for some reason. Use IE or Firefox.
Once you can send mail internally, you can then proceed to configuring mail send and receive connectors
