This article explains how three billion accounts at Yahoo were affected by a massive hack. Two Russian spies were indicted but there was a much bigger hacker involved. That being said every single Yahoo account was hacked. Verizon had planned to buy Yahoo but that slashed the deal in a blink of an eye. Yahoo is investigating with the assistance of outside forensic experts.
