Job Opportunity - 2 days work - $22/hour

The City of Wenatchee is working with a consulting company to do some studies regarding parking. We are looking for five students/faculty/staff/alumni that might be interested in helping us gather data for the downtown Wenatchee Parking Study on two separate days (a Thursday and Saturday).  Those interested need to be energetic and physically fit as the job requires lots of walking.  It would be great to have the same five people commit to helping us to maintain consistency over the two survey days.  The pay is $22 per hour. The work entails collecting license plate data for parked cars downtown over a 10 hour day on Thursday and Saturday in mid-May, 2016.  We will be working from 9 AM  through 6PM on each of those days.  There is also a two hour “training” on the afternoon before the first day of surveying. The job has surveyors assigned to specific walking routes in the downtown.  Surveyors write down license plate numbers of parked vehicles each hour on the hour in their assigned route.  We strive to set the routes up to provide about 40 minutes of walking an hour, which leaves about 20 minutes per hour to rest, use restrooms, check messages, etc.  A lunch break is provided as well.  We provide each surveyor with a template that directs them through their route and a mobile radio, so our supervisory team can stay in contact with them during the course of their day.  We will have four supervisors to assist on the collection days. Paychecks will be ready at the end of the day on Saturday, so there will be no waiting for payment.  We would ask that the surveyors fill out a W9 for us. We ask that those that want to work have comfortable walking shoes, bring a light back pack to carry snacks, water, etc.  Also, folks will need to be prepared for whatever weather we run into (hopefully it will be sunny and temperate), but have appropriate clothes, hat, sunscreen, etc.  We will also have water and snacks available that we will deliver to surveyors throughout the work days. If there is interest, please contact Owen Ronchelli (owen@rickwilliamsconsulting.com) and/or Michael Vasbinder (michael@rickwilliamsconsutling.com).  We would like to hear from folks no later than May 3, so we have a chance to assemble our crew for the study.
