RoboCyberWall Aims to Block Linux Server HacksOn Tuesday launched its proprietary precision firewall solution bearing the same name. RoboCyberWall is designed to protect HTTP and HTTPS (SSL) ports on Linux-based Apache2 and NGINX Web servers. The patent-pending firewall blocks all known exploits and zero-day attacks on Apache2 and NGINX Web servers, according to the developer. It is the only firewall designed from the ground up to protect the Linux Apache2 or NGINX Web server's root directory, as well as the document root directory.

Google has reportedly dropped their own Ubuntu version (cleverly titled "Goobuntu", must have taken all night to come up with that name) and switched to Debian for their in house systems. The article also goes into detail about the security of Google's internal systems and if I was in the security class still I'd use this as an article for that class too. Anyway, interesting to see them abandon their own build and go to just straight Debian.

9 Most Beautiful Linux Distros in 2018
An interesting article that attempts to name the 9 most beautiful Linux distros. If you are like me, I enjoy changing my desktop wallpaper/background to something interesting (and not leave it plain). However, choosing a distro solely on how beautiful it is, is probably not the best thing to do. But it is something to consider.

A quick glance of the "decay" of native apps for various linux platforms. The argument is made more towards the growth of streaming services ala: Spotify, Amazon, YouTube etc, so the need for a dedicated app is far less in today's world.
However; the article did point out that ElementaryOS has been quite popular for dedicated app development, mainly due to the steady API found within.

The article above talks about how linux is starting to see more malware and exploits. Windows is still the biggest target because the OS is used more. It mentions that the Equifax hack was running Apache Struts. More Support and patches are needed for security on Linux. Running updates is recommended.

Here is a list of some commands that I find particularly useful. These commands span from searching for a command you forgot to auto-correcting typos in your commands.
