"Fix 'Laptop Doesn't suspend after lid is closed' on Ubuntu".

You close the lid of your laptop but it keeps on running instead of going into suspend mode? Here are a few ways how you can make Ubuntu suspend when the lid is closed.

In regards to the "Distrobutions" Reader's Choice Awards for the best Linux Distro of 2018 (seems a bit presumptious) the ballots have been cast (by somebody)....  And the winner is...  (no spoilers here!)

I think this blender program for Ubuntu looks pretty cool, and if you learned how to use it you could make good money.

The SmartDeviceLink Consortium is engaging on software that is based on Linux-based open source so they can get smartphones and cars working in sync. While SDL is not the only open source, Android Auto, it's supporters include Accura, Cadillac, Ford and more. The SDL has come competition, it will be interesting to see the outcome.

Re: Weekly Post #5 Due February 19th....

There is now a battleship that operates on Linux. It is essentially a drone but also has people onboard that help man the ship. The firepower is immense, it has 80 missile silos and many other artillery. Zumwalt is the name of the battleship. Linus Torvalds is the operating system that allows Zumwalt to operate. While the ship is amazing, the people operating it have to face the moral challenge when making decisions just like with flying drones. There is a risk of killing innocent people, so the US military is trying to use restraint with this powerful machine. Makes you wonder what other countries have developed…
