HowToGeek article lists the steps to create a bootable version of Ubuntu that has persistence. Persistence means that changes you make to the system, like creating files and documents, or extra programs you may install, -remain after you shutdown the system. The program they use is called Linux Live USB Creator. The benefits of this are you can have your own customized version of Ubuntu and be able to boot it on any computer you come across, with all of your files. I wonder if the program would work with linux mint?

This article is about using the terminal to find files in a large directory or at home. Instead of using the just the ls command you can add to it to arrange the files alphabetically or by size. You can also find out when the last time the file was accessed or modified.

With Linux, there is a certain number of text editors built in. Nano is one of them. This article goes over helpful commands you can use in nano when editing files. There is useful information at the bottom of nano when you open it but it's a little overwhelming with all the combinations and this article goes over some basic ones like cutting and pasting text.

This Article is about converting your android device into Linux. Your android phone does not have to be rooted, but it can be; however, the article says to get KBOX which is a miniature user Linux distro that is integrated into a terminal emulator that can be installed on non-rooted phones. It is not available through the google play store so you have to get it through the website and install it manually.

My article covers 30 interesting and useful commands. These commands are very simple but do a lot of useful things. from simple ones like running trace route, getting the full path of a file, listing file size. to more complicated ones like running a command every time a file is modified, and fixxing ext4 file systemswith problems with its superblock.

A new trojan called "Speak Up" has been found infecting Linux based servers. CheckPoint researchers have found the trojan which reportedly is targeting Linux servers in China. The Trojan infects itself within the subnet that the server operates. The trojan also supposedly can infect Mac machines by taking advantage of an "undetected backdoor". The trojan is spreading beyond China and quickly going across East Asian and Latin America.
