This problem cropped up on *some* of the Windows 10 machines. Possibly due to an update. Our freenas server in class uses SMB shares but it uses SMB 1.0 -- Apparently Microsoft has made some changes in how Win 10 addresses SMB.
To fix try these two things.
First
1. Open local policy editor - run gpedit.msc
2. Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Lanman Workstation
3. Set Enable insecure guest logons to "enable" - read text to the left of the setting
Second and probably more important step to the fix is this:
1. Go to add remove programs
2. Click on Programs and Features
3. Turns Windows features on or off
4. Check the box next to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support
Reboot system.
