Security researchers have disclosed three vulnerabilities that affect a system service part of 'systemd,' a core component in Linux that manages system processes after the boot process.The bugs exist in 'journald' service, tasked with collecting and storing log data, and they can be exploited to obtain root privileges on the target machine or to leak information. No patches exist at the moment.

Linux continues to make gains in the PC world. In 2019 Dell shipped 5 variations of Linux across 162 unique platforms. This is part of an initiative Dell launched 6 years ago called Project Sputnik.

Here are some OS's that are based on Linux and some basic facts about them. Some of them are open source alternatives to Android's OS. It seems like they are making progress but some of them aren't the best to use yet.

Librem 5 is a linux based smartphone that is focused on privacy and security. One of the features this phone has is a kill switch for: camera, WiFi/Bluetooth, and microphone. Also you can run the most popular linux distributions of anyone's choice like, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch linux. Lastly the smartphone will cost $599 and will be releasing January 2019.

This article goes over a way to make your Ubuntu desktop more secure with a simple firewall. Even though Ubuntu is somewhat safe already, any computer connected to the internet is insecure. It doesn't take very long at all only being about 3 steps. Although it doesn't 100 percent make Ubuntu secure, it does make your computer that much more secure.

This article is about car manufacturers using a linux based distro in there cars. Car manufacturers such as Tesla, Mazda, Toyota, Mercedes Benz, and others use Linux based os in there cars for accessibility to the user. Tesla has their own distro that is used in their models of car. Linux is becoming popular within the car industry.
