This article
is about updated hardware monitoring for Ryzen 2 based processors. What this means is, "the patched k10temp Linux driver should expose Vcore, VSoc, Tdie, Tctl, Tccd1, Tccd2, Icore, and Isoc outputs." This will allow finer control and monitoring for Linux users who want to overclock, monitor temperatures, and going forward it will help AMD to make their chips more compatible with Linux based operating systems.Offline

Last quarter when we were using kali, I learned just about all IoT devices run a stripped down version of linux. This article discusses the different linux cores and their use. Theres even software for developing your own core based on your needs and hardware limitations. This software is called the Yocto project. It also discusses andriod's core for google products, ubuntu core which has emphasis on security, and even rasbian which can also be further tweaked for specific user needs, setting up a raspberry pi sensor for example. All in all I find it interesting how linux is used in many IoT devices today, mainly for its adaptability.
