To prevent another major hack, federal agencies have established a “zero-trust” system. The system treats government employees the same way it would with foreign attackers, everyone is treated as threat. Stricter controls were recommended to agencies when they allow access to computer networks to employees and government contractors to avoid hacks. A famous example is Edward Snowden.
