According to this article published in November of 2014, China had experienced an outbreak of a malware virus named, "WireLurker." This virus was intended to infect iphones and ipads."WireLurker" is the first known virus to infect the Apple iOS.The device can be infected when an iphone or ipad is connected to an infected Apple computer via USB. Once the device is connected the virus begins downloading third party apps to the device. This device is aimed at stealing the users personal information. At first it was thought that only "jailbroken" devices could be infected. However, this notion has been dispelled as "non jailbroken" devices have been infected also.
